What Makes Our Cabinets Different
Every cabinet we build starts on a CNC machine.
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. It’s a manufacturing technology that uses computers to control cutting equipment with extreme precision.
Here’s what that means for your project: Every cut is accurate to within 1/64 of an inch. Every hole lines up perfectly. Every piece fits together on the first try.
No guessing. No hand-measuring errors. No “close enough” carpentry.
The result? Commercial cabinets that look better, last longer, and cost less than traditional hand-built millwork.
For over 20 years, Broadway Millwork has used CNC cabinet manufacturing technology to build thousands of cabinets for Saskatchewan businesses. It’s how we deliver quality you can count on, project after project.

How CNC Cabinet Manufacturing Works
Most cabinet shops don’t own CNC equipment. Here’s why we do, and why it matters to you.
Perfect Fit, Guaranteed
Traditional cabinet making relies on hand measurements and manual cutting. Even skilled craftspeople make small errors that add up.
With CNC cabinet manufacturing, your cabinets fit your space perfectly. No gaps. No shimming. No “we’ll make it work” solutions during installation.
Consistent Quality Across Large Projects
Building 50 identical cabinets by hand? Some will be slightly different. With CNC, cabinet #1 and cabinet #50 are identical.
This matters for multi-location businesses. Your Regina location looks exactly like your Saskatoon location. Your brand stays consistent.
Complex Designs Made Possible
Curved reception desks. Intricate display cabinets. Custom shapes that match your architecture. These are extremely difficult to build by hand.
CNC machines handle complex curves and angles easily. If you can design it, we can build it.
Faster Production Without Rushing
Hand-building cabinets takes time. Rush the process and quality suffers.
CNC machines work quickly and accurately at the same time. We complete projects faster without sacrificing quality.
Zero Material Waste
Our CNC software optimizes every cut to minimize waste. This reduces costs and helps the environment.
Traditional methods can waste 15-20% of material. Our CNC process keeps waste under 5%.
Lower Costs for You
Yes, CNC equipment is expensive to buy. But it makes us more efficient.
We pass those savings to you. You get higher quality cabinets at competitive prices because we’ve eliminated waste and rework.
Our CNC Cabinet Manufacturing Process
Let’s walk through how we turn your design into finished cabinets.
Step 1: Design & Programming
Your project starts with detailed measurements of your space. We create a 3D design that shows exactly how your cabinets will look and function.
Once you approve the design, our team programs every cut, hole, and edge into our CNC system. The computer file contains thousands of precise instructions for the machine.
Step 2: Material Selection
We load commercial-grade plywood, MDF, or solid wood onto the CNC machine. We only use materials designed for heavy commercial use, not residential-grade products.
Step 3: Precision Cutting
The CNC machine cuts each piece exactly according to the computer program. Router bits spin at thousands of RPMs, guided by computer control to create perfect edges and curves.
The machine cuts cabinet sides, shelves, doors, drawer fronts, and backs. It drills holes for hinges, shelf pins, and hardware. It creates grooves for drawer slides and door inserts.
All of this happens with precision that’s impossible to achieve by hand.
Step 4: Edge Banding & Finishing
After cutting, we apply durable edge banding to protect exposed edges. Then our finishing team applies stains, paints, or laminates based on your specifications.
Step 5: Assembly & Quality Control
Our cabinet makers assemble each unit, install hardware, and check that everything works smoothly. Drawers glide properly. Doors close evenly. Hinges adjust correctly.
Step 6: Installation
Finally, our installation crew delivers and installs your cabinets. Because every piece was cut with CNC precision, installation goes quickly and smoothly.

CNC vs. Traditional Cabinet Making
Here’s an honest comparison:
| Factor | CNC Manufacturing | Traditional Hand-Built |
|---|---|---|
| Precision | Accurate to 1/64 inch | Accurate to 1/16 inch (at best) |
| Consistency | Every piece identical | Small variations between pieces |
| Complex designs | Easy to produce | Time-consuming and expensive |
| Production speed | Fast | Slower |
| Material waste | Under 5% | 15-20% typical |
| Labour cost | Lower (more efficient) | Higher (more hours required) |
| Quality | Consistently high | Depends on craftsperson’s skill |
| Large projects | Scales easily | Gets progressively harder |
The bottom line: CNC cabinet manufacturing gives you better cabinets at better prices with faster turnaround times.

Quality Control & Testing
CNC precision is just the start. We verify quality at every step.
Digital Verification
Before cutting a single piece, our software checks for errors. The program alerts us to potential problems like material conflicts or measurement issues.
First Article Inspection
For large projects, we cut and assemble one complete cabinet first. You approve it before we manufacture the rest. This ensures you get exactly what you expected.
In-Process Checks
Our CNC operators monitor cuts throughout production. They verify dimensions, check edge quality, and ensure the machine maintains accuracy.
Assembly Testing
After assembly, we test every drawer, door, and adjustment. Everything must work smoothly before it leaves our shop.
Pre-Installation Review
Before delivery, your project manager reviews the complete order against your specifications. We catch any issues before they reach your location.

Industries We Serve With CNC Manufacturing
Saskatchewan businesses across many sectors trust our CNC capabilities:
Clinics, dental offices, and medical facilities need cabinets that meet health regulations. Our CNC precision ensures consistent, easy-to-clean surfaces with no gaps where bacteria can hide.
Retail fixtures must look perfect and withstand constant use. CNC manufacturing delivers the consistency and durability retail environments demand.
Commercial kitchens and bars need cabinets built to survive tough conditions. Our CNC process creates tight joints and durable construction that handles the heat, moisture, and heavy use.
Professional offices need millwork that looks sharp and functions efficiently. CNC precision delivers the clean lines and perfect fit that corporate environments require.
Schools and universities need durable cabinets that stand up to heavy daily use. Our CNC cabinet manufacturing creates robust construction that lasts for decades.
Why Broadway’s CNC Manufacturing Stands Out
We’re not the only cabinet shop in Saskatchewan. Here’s why businesses choose us:
We Own Our Equipment
Many cabinet shops outsource CNC cutting to third parties. We own and operate our equipment in-house.
This means faster turnaround times, better quality control, and lower costs for you.
Experienced Operators
Our CNC operators have years of experience. They understand how different materials behave, how to optimize cuts, and how to troubleshoot problems before they affect your project.
Integrated Process
From design to installation, everything happens under one roof. Your project doesn’t get passed between multiple companies, which means better communication and accountability.
Local Saskatchewan Service
When you work with us, you’re working with a Saskatchewan company that understands local building codes, climate considerations, and business needs.
Commitment to Quality
We could run our CNC machines faster and cut corners. We don’t. We take the time to do it right because our reputation depends on your satisfaction.
